Music For Worship

Our goal in the music for worship team is to find a rich deep vein of pure worship that blesses the heart of God. To achieve this we have set out the attributes that we require in team members. These are set out below for your information. If you feel you can contribute and are able to meet these attributes do please speak to Steve Cripps.

1. Members must be in right relationship with God. Members must:

  • Have come to know Jesus as their personal saviour.
  • Not be involved in habitual sin.
  • Confess daily their sins before God.
  • Have a regular, preferably daily time of independent devotion which involves the reading of scripture.
  • Not be knowingly in disobedience to God's word.

2. Members must be in right relationship with the church. Members must:

  • See All Nations as their spiritual home at least for the foreseeable future or for a defined period of time.
  • As appropriate, be church partners or actively seeking to become church partners.
  • Recognise the authority of the Pastors and Elders within the church.
  • Tithe in accordance with the teaching of the church.
  • Be in right relationship with other believers.
  • Play their full role in the church including attending when not on the rota.

3. Members must be in tune with the vision for the team: Members must:

  • Share the vision of "finding a rich, deep vein of pure worship that blesses the heart of God".
  • Have or be developing a worshipping lifestyle
  • Be willing to put aside personal pride, ambition and feelings to see the vision fulfilled

4. Members must be diligent in fulfilling their obligations. Members must:

  • Respond on time to requests for availability
  • Maximise rather than minimise availability
  • Turn up on time to practices, before services and other meetings
  • Ensure that in the event of being late prior notification is given to an appropriate person (eg team leader for a service) and good reason is given.
  • Ensure that in if you are going to be absent prior notification is given to an appropriate person (eg team leader for a service), good reason is given and make best endeavours to find a replacement.

5. Members must engender a spirit of love and unity within the team. Members must:

  • Fulfil their obligations under 4 above.
  • Not give or take offence even if you think or believe you are right.
  • Always prefer the other person over themselves.
  • Pray for one another.
  • Care for one another.
  • Remember that everyone else is as essential to the team as you are
