George was born and bred in Northern Ireland and came to Reading to study for a Masters Degree at the town’s University.  He has held a number of positions in the church including Treasurer, Home group leader and Music for Worship leader.  He is married to Sharon and has three grown up children. Outside of church George is Chief Executive of the Tenant Farmers Association, which has its national headquarters in Theale and his is a trustee of the Arthur Rank Centre which supports the work of rural churches and rural Christians.
