Why we are here
To make Jesus known to everyone, everywhere.
We love Jesus and know that He changes lives because He has changed our lives. We invite everyone, everywhere to meet Him and allow Him to transform their lives too.
Where we are heading
To make Jesus known to everyone, everywhere, is a big vision! To achieve this we have crystallised our values. There a many, many good things we could be doing as a church, so we have sharpened our focus. Here are our four priorities for the next phase of our growth as a church:
- Mission: Reaching out with the Good News, both home and away.
- Discipleship: Teaching and equipping people to become more like Jesus.
- Worship: Facilitating authentic worship where everyone is invited to encounter the presence of God.
- Legacy: Nurturing and investing in our children, teenagers and young adults – the future church today.
Undergirding all of this is the fact that we are a Bible-believing, pentecostal church, being taken forward in our journey of faith by the Holy Spirit. Life is an adventure, and we are prepared for the challenge!
Our History
All Nations Christian Centre is part of the Elim Pentecostal movement. The Reading Elim Church was established in 1928 following a campaign by the founder of the Elim Pentecostal church, George Jeffreys. The church had its first premises in Waylen Street and was opened on the 15th April 1933.
In 1987, the church moved to its current location on Berkeley Avenue in Coley Park. The site was extended in 1990 to provide modern facilities for all ages. The main hall was modernized to serve as a multipurpose hall for church services and other events. In 2018 work was completed on a new annex to support our growing children & youth work and to serve the community.
