Come To Me Just As You Are

Thought For The Week – Come To Me Just As You Are

This week our thought for the week is a poem written by Liz Cooper, entitled Come To Me Just As You Are.

Come to Me just as you are,
For I can see the worries that agitate your mind,
I will take you gently by the hand and say,
‘Be at peace, My child, I love you’,

Come to Me just as you are,
For I can see the sadness that pervades your soul,
Come sit and rest at My feet,
And I will give comfort to your weary heart,

Come to Me just as you are,
For I know when today has been full of sorrows,
Come, be still and rest in My presence,
For I will give you hope for tomorrow,

Come to Me just as you are,
For I can see your battles seem endless and the respite scarce,
Come, I will shelter you under My wings,
Protecting you in every storm,

Come to Me just as you are,
For I want to comfort you when you feel alone,
My arms are open wide to you,
And I’m waiting to pour out My love on you,

Come to Me just as you are,
For I know all you have done, whatever your past may be,
My heart is full of forgiveness for you,
Come and believe and a fresh start awaits you today,

Come to Me just as you are,
For I can see that you fear what tomorrow may bring,
Surrender your anxiety and all to me,
I will lift you up and carry you through, keeping you close to me.

Come to Me just as you are,
Come to Me just as you are,
For I have a Father’s love for you.
