So how many of us can go from being really happy one day to then really sad the next? Our emotions can go up and down all over the place and just because I’m a Christian doesn’t mean that I’m immune to the dips of life. And life is a little bit like a rollercoaster.
When we’re on a rollercoaster we don’t know who’s controlling this but I want to ask you today, do you know who is controlling your life? The ride of life can be exciting, but also it can be scary and it can make us feel afraid, but I know God is next to us the whole time. God will never ever give up on us and even when we feel like getting off, He is always there with us. And sometimes when we don’t know what’s around the next bend, we know that God is there because He has paved the way and I know that He has designed this and He has built this for me.
But now, this is what the Lord says—
Isaiah 43:1-2
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
