Davide shares his thought for the week; let God hold you.
Something I want to share with you that’s really helped me with my journey with God while being here at college comes from Psalm 73:23 and it says
Nevertheless, I am continually with you. You have taken hold of my right hand.
Psalm 73:23
When I read this I was instantly reminded of a story of a father and a son who were going through a very tough situation together and the son said to the father, “Let me hold your hand.” The father replied, “No, let me hold your hand.” The son replied, “But what’s the difference?” He said, “If you hold my hand when bad things happen, you might let go. When doubts begin to arise in your mind, you might pull away. But if I hold your hand, no matter what’s going on, I will never let you go. No matter the bad situation that you’re going through that looks like there’s no way out, there’s no way out, I will never let you go.”
And this takes me to John 10:28 and it says,
And I gave eternal life to them and they will never perish and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
John 10:28
So I want to show you is it is not our hold of Christ that saves us. It is Christ’s hold of us that saves us and God never promises you that bad things will not happen. Actually, He promises these things will happen to you, but you got promised in Isaiah 43 and He says,
“Even through the fire I am with you and even through the waters I am with you.”
Isaiah 43:2
So let God hold you today and throughout the week.
