Everyone has a frontline – a place where we do life or work and where we encounter people who don’t know Jesus. We don’t need to go looking for these, we are already there. We just need to see these places with fresh eyes, that God is present in our everyday places and that these can be places where God is at work with us. Even the unexpected places can become places of encounter and transformation!
Encounters with God are transformative, and they happen in the course of life with all its ups and downs. They happen in the places we find ourselves in regularly. They happen, too, in the places that we find ourselves unexpectedly.
Today we will be looking at Jacob’s encounter with God found in Genesis 28:10-22.
Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”
Genesis 28:16
This week, as we go ‘through the door’ into the places you find yourself during the week, go with an expectation that God can be at work there and seek to join in with what He is doing.
